Passionate about people and Canadian culture, Shawna LaRade and her family live in Cranbrook, British Columbia. Shawna has a Masters of Science with distinction in Range and Wildlife Resources from the University of Alberta and is currently employed as a Range Agrologist with the Province of British Columbia.
As a child growing up in Southern Ontario, she became part of the first cohort of students enrolled in French Immersion. Today, she recognizes the importance of promoting French opportunities for Canadian youth and has enrolled her children in the ever growing FI programming.
Shawna has been a member of CPF since 2011 when her oldest daughter started kindergarten. She has participated in the Cranbrook Fernie Chapter board as a Director, Secretary Treasurer and President. As a proud Canadian, Shawna recognizes the significance of both French and English as official languages of our Government and is committed to supporting our children in their learnings of French Canadian language and culture.
