British Columbia Family French Camp

At BC Family French Camp, children from French Immersion and other French-speaking kids bring their families along to camp!

Families camp in their own tents or trailers. Together, a friendly neighbourhood is formed, surrounded by the sounds of children playing and singing in French. Programs are available for children aged 4 to 16.

And parents don’t have to be able to speak French! Parents enjoy a rewarding blend of lounging time and sharing in a variety of small volunteer duties while their children use their French in a wonderful outdoor setting with their energetic and funny francophone Moniteurs (counsellors) who are hired for their spirit, enthusiasm, love of working with children, and ability to share all things French-Canadian with BCFFC families!

Alliance Française Scholarship

As a local organization involved in its community, the Alliance Française de Vancouver is proud to support young French learners who seek help to continue their French courses with its Alliance Française Scholars Program, and is pleased to offer a prize of one (1) scholarship worth up to $4000 to the winning CPF member who joins or renews their membership during the 2017 CPF Membership Drive. About the Alliance Française Scholars Program

The Alliance Française Scholars Program seeks well-rounded students who demonstrate good character, promise of leadership and strong commitment to service in the community. Once again, the Alliance Française Scholars Program will offer up to 20 awards of up to 1 year of French classes (September 2018 to August 2019, including Summer programs) to students who are 11 years old and older.

Alliance Française Scholars are chosen for their strong interest in the French language, service and leadership potential. They deeply value integrity and honesty, show passion for French and are interested in cultural diversity. Furthermore, they are willing to take meaningful risks and strive for results.
Each Alliance Francaise Scholar shows a sustained commitment to service in the community, has taken the initiative to create positive changes and is interested in working for a better world.

Vancouver International Children’s Festival

May 28 – June 3, 2018, Granville Island, Vancouver

The first of its kind in North America, the Vancouver International Children’s Festival began as a theatre festival for young audiences presenting international performances. Today the Festival is multi-disciplinary presenting theatre, music, dance, circus, puppetry and storytelling and over the years has been an inspiration to major cities throughout Canada and abroad, where annual children’s festivals now take place.

The Festival features francophone performers throughout the schedule and one full day of francophone programming.

Vancouver Canucks’ regular season stretches from now until early April 2019! If you’re in town, go for it and check out a game!
