Ottawa, June 22, 2023— Canadian Parents for French, National on behalf of the pan-Canadian Network would like to acknowledge the Department of Canadian Heritage for its ongoing financial support to help our organization carry out its core program activities. A contribution in the amount of $3,348,000 will be awarded to help our organization carry out its activities, under the Enhancement of Official Languages Program, Promotion of Linguistic Duality Component. This funding will be allocated over three government fiscal years 2023-2026.
It is in large part due to this financial assistance that Canadian Parents for French, as a pan-Canadian Network has been able to provide leadership and oversight to a volunteer network of 34,000 members as well as support 9 Branches and offices on the ground in every province and territory for over forty years. Furthermore much of CPF’s work has also gone towards informing and influencing educational decision makers and increasing public awareness of the importance of French second language education in Canada.
This core program contribution sustains and solidifies the Canadian Parents for French volunteers’ collective efforts to fulfill our mandate towards promoting and creating opportunities for students to learn and use French. Working together, CPF can increase our impact across the country and help the Department of Canadian Heritage promote a Bilingual Canada, helping share our rich linguistic and culturally diverse stories and continuing to build a strong and inclusive Canada, and working to reach the objective to increase the bilingualism rate of the Canadian population to 20% by 2036. We look forward to continuing our important work together in the years to come.

Canadian Parents for French reconnaît l’appui financier du gouvernement du Canada
Ottawa, le 22 juin 2023 — Canadian Parents for French, national au nom du Réseau pancanadien, tient à remercier le ministère du Patrimoine canadien de son soutien financier continu pour aider notre organisme à réaliser ses activités de programme de base. Une contribution de 3 348 000 dollars sera accordée à notre organisme pour l’aider à mener à bien ses activités dans le cadre du volet Promotion de la dualité linguistique du programme Mise en valeur des langues officielles. Ce financement sera réparti sur trois exercices, soit 2023-2026.
C’est en grande partie grâce à cette aide financière que Canadian Parents for French, en tant que réseau pancanadien, a été en mesure d’assurer le leadership et la surveillance d’un réseau de bénévoles composé de 34 000 membres et de soutenir neuf bureaux sur le terrain dans chaque province et territoire, et ce, depuis plus de 40 ans. De plus, une grande partie du travail de CPF a servi à informer et à influencer les décideurs en éducation et à sensibiliser davantage le public à l’importance de l’enseignement du français langue seconde au Canada.
Cette contribution de base au programme soutient et renforce les efforts collectifs des bénévoles de Canadian Parents for French pour remplir notre mandat visant la promotion et la création d’occasions pour les élèves d’apprendre et d’utiliser le français. En travaillant ensemble, CPF peut accroître notre impact à l’échelle nationale et aider le ministère du Patrimoine canadien à promouvoir un Canada bilingue, à partager nos riches histoires linguistiques et culturelles diversifiées, à continuer de bâtir un Canada fort et inclusif, et à travailler dans le but d’atteindre notre objectif d’augmenter le taux de bilinguisme de la population canadienne à 20 % d’ici 2036. Nous avons hâte de poursuivre notre important travail ensemble dans les années à venir.
