Socio-Cultural Grants

Each year, CPF BCYK administers an envelope of funds from the BC Ministry of Education and Child Care and Canadian Heritage. An important portion of this funding supports the Socio-Cultural Grant program.

The main goal of the SCG program is to provide students with opportunities to learn and use French, and to experience French cultures in a fun and engaging way. SCGs are a core support that our Chapters can access to fund projects and provide French experiences for kids throughout the province.

By allocating this funding to CPF Chapters in B.C. and Yukon, we hope to empower you to bring French fun, learning, and cultures to your community!

Concours d'art oratoire
District-level Concours d'art oratoire events are always eligible for SCG funding! Grant money can help cover expenses such as venue, prizes, certificates, and beautiful medals like these from our North Vancouver Chapter!
In-School Events
In-school events like this karate workshop in Saanich are fabulous ways to use SCG funds to enrich kids' school days with all kinds of French activities, and to enhance partnerships with schools.
Virtual Events
SCG funds can also support virtual events, such as this French cooking video made by the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Chapter!
