That's a wrap!

Félicitations to all 360+ students from across Canada who shared their Concours virtuel videos with us this year! We learned a ton – from family recipes to why it’s important we understand the impacts of Residential Schools, and more – and we’re so proud of what you’ve all submitted.

What launched as a way to connect youth last year at the onset of school closures morphed in 2021 to offer students a digital platform to express themselves. You can check out all public entries here!

Concours virtuel is the digital spinoff of CPF’s classic Concours d’art oratoire, a French-language public speaking competition that asks students to craft and deliver informative or persuasive speeches of 3-5 minutes long.

Concours virtuel is different. Students can use their digital skills to add effects and cut together video clips to show off something they’re passionate about. Of course, language still matters, as students must have at least one minute of French speech in their entries.
